"Cosmologists are often in error but never in doubt" Lev Landau

I am a researcher at the Enrico Fermi Center and I currently work at the Institute for Complex Systems of the Italian Council for Scientific Research (CNR, Rome, Italy). I am an associated scientist at the Statistical Mechanics and Complexity Center in Rome.

I am a physicist and my reaserch activity incIudes subjects that are at the interface between statistical physics, cosmology, gravitational dynamics and systems with long-range correlations. I have published about 70 papers in international journals and about 40 contributions to the proceedings of international conferences. I am co-author of the book entiteled Statistical Physics for Cosmic Structures (Springer Verlag 2005). I am also an editor of the book `Dynamics and Thermodynamics of systems with long range interactions: theory and experiments'' (AIP, 2008)

In collaboration with Stefano Zapperi I have studied some of the problems of the italian university and research system.  We recently wrote a book I ricercatori non crescono sugli alberi (in Italian, the English translation sounds like "Reserachers do not grow on trees") and we have opened a blog.

This is a workshop that I have recently  co-organized
