The Twiki.Granular project in a few words

The aim of this project is to implement a reasoned self-builded and self-mantained bibliography about granular matter.

-- AndreaBaldassarri - 17 Sep 2001

The main idea is that researchers publishing papers on this topic can add their own contributions as self-made pages, containing any kind of objects, such as: the abstract of an article, figures, links, file attachments (the paper itself), comments, discussions, formulae (latex is automatically converted), movies and anything else. More interesingly, the researchers can edit existing pages in order to create discussions and collaborations. The editing of new (and old) pages is strongly simplified by means of a meta-language which allows to avoid html coding (Rules).

Every researcher is invited to include one or (preferrably) more links to the existing categories: this structures the entire archive/bibliography into a self-organized net of contributions and subjects. We have proposed a number of categories (subtopics), but everyone can add new categories. Furthermore, everyone can create its own tree, i.e. a way of reading the connections between subtopics. Our tree (which can read in its entire expanded form here) is only our subjective view of this big research area, focusing on granular gases.

The WebSearch link above can be used to find anything in the archive.

ExpandedOurGasTree is the starting point for a navigation using our suggested hierarchy of subtopics.

So if you are interested to contribute to this project you can read this short practical user guide, and just start to write a page on your work.
